The Works Progress Administration built the Brewton Alabama Country Club and facilities for an adjacent airport on Highway 31 in Brewton. Next to the country club, the WPA built a nine-hole golf course, a landing field, 5000 linear feet of runway, and an adjacent airport hangar.

The Campbell County War Memorial was built by the National Youth Administration in 1938. The monument is shaped as a stone obelisk set on a base of stone infilled with earth. It is flanked by two World War I period cannons. A metal American Eagle rests on top of the memorial. The monument, sponsored by the American Legion and the Spanish-American War Veterans, was dedicated to the Campbell County troops who died in the Spanish American War and World War I.

Cove Lake State Park, originally planned as Fort Mountain Park, was the third joint effort of the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA), the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC), and the National Parks Service (NPS). The initial 668-acre park was built along the banks of the lake created by the Caryville Dam (1936). The dam was built to minimize the flooding to Caryville from the Norris Dam (1933-1936) project down stream. Even with the Caryville Dam, some 70 structures including the First Baptist Church and a high school were demolished. In addition, Tennessee Highway 63 and US Highway 25 (Dixie Highway) required relocation....

The National Register of Historic Places Nomination Form for the former Big Elk Guard Station (now a camping residence for seasonal rent) tells the history of the garage/storage shed located nearby: "A Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC)-built Garage/Storage Shed, erected ca. 1938, lies about 50' east of the cabin. This rectangular, single-story building measures approximately 18' x 16' feet in plan and approximately 8' 6" feet from the top of the corner boards at the eaves to the ground. The building has a medium-pitch gable roof with wood shingles and exposed rafter ends. The exterior walls are composed of horizontal "double-run molding"...

The Works Progress Administration built a park that included a stone bridge over Town Creek.

The Works Progress Administration (WPA) carried out paving work on 18th Street in Jasper. According to the Secretary-Treasurer of the Jasper Land Company, the WPA’s road improvement work brought an increase in housing construction.

The Works Progress Administration built an armory in Greenville circa 1938. The structure is currently used as the Butler County Extension Office. The front has been altered to add a portico, but the structure of the original armory and fenestration remain visible. Newspaper items indicate the construction was completed "first of the year" in 1937 although it was still under construction April 1937. The supervisor of construction was Marion Riley.

The Works Progress Administration built the Shields Bridge over Blackwater Creek in Jasper, Walker County. The Shields bridge was the first one of seven other identical bridges built in Walker County.

Constructed by the Works Progress Administration (WPA), this facility was built to house the Michigan State Police's Gaylord Post. Construction began on July 29, 1937 and the post opened on Feb. 23, 1938. The building is now privately owned.
