A school construction project in Farwell, Texas was undertaken in 1938 with Public Works Administration (P.W.A.) funds. The P.W.A. provided a $7,140 grant for the project, whose total cost was $15,876. The exact location and status of the facility is presently unknown to Living New Deal. P.W.A. Docket No. TX 1918

The Public Works Administration funded the construction of the Danville High School in Danville, Caledonia County. The two-story school was built in 1938 and housed grammar and high school grades. The architect of record was Galen H. Nichols. The building replaced a structure built in 1840, and reproduced some architectural elements from the old structure, such as the columns that mark the entrance. Docket No. Vt. 1075-DS.

The Public Works Administration funded the construction of Ludlow School. The three-story school was built in 1938 and housed grammar and high school grades. The PWA funding was $36,000. The architects of record were A.E. Hudson, A.T. Win and Mr. Quinn. The superintendent was of construction was Arthur D. Wilson. The contractor of record was Casper Ranger. The school was dedicated on November 6, 1938, and was open on September 5, 1939. The enrollment was 454. Docket No. Vt. 1069-DS. Today the school serves as the Black River High School.

The $100,000 civic center and armory in Livingston, MT was constructed by the WPA. The facility is still open for public recreational use today. W.P.A. Official Project Number: 65‐91‐6554

In 1937-38, the Works Progress Administration (WPA) improved the road to Bodie CA (now CA 270) south of Bridgeport.  Bodie is a relic of a 19th century gold mining boom that had become a ghost town by the mid 20th century.  It was made a California State Park in 1962.  Highway 270 is closed in winter because Bodie stands at over 8,000 feet. Long planned, federal Public Works Administration (P.W.A.) funds enabled the development of the South Broad Street subway from its then-southern terminus at Lombard South Station to Snyder Ave., during the mid-to-late 1930s. Service along this stretch of subway was inaugurated at the three new subway stations: Ellsworth–Federal, Tasker–Morris, and Snyder, on Sept. 18, 1938. The Broad Street line was extended further south, decades later, to Pattison Ave.

The Civilian Conservation Corps Company 2915 (F-12) built a ranger station in the vicinity of Glacier, Whatcom County.
