  • Saint Albans High School Athletic Field (former) - Saint Albans VT
    The Works Progress Administration built a new athletic field for the Saint Albans High School. Per commenter Paul Chandler, "This looks to be Coote Field which was located just east of Stevens Brook between Lake Street and Lower Weldon Street. Across the brook was Houghton Park—later used by the high school soccer team. ... he athletic fields no longer exist at that location."
  • Wilson Elementary School Addition (demolished) - Logan UT
    The Public Works Administration (PWA) funded the construction of an addition for the Wilson Elementary School in Logan, Utah.   The PWA Docket number was 1004-R (Utah). The architect of record was K. C. Schaub. The old Wilson School has been replaced by a new structure in recent years.
  • North Ogden Elementary School (demolished) - North Ogden UT
    The Public Works Administration funded the construction of the North Ogden Elementary School in North Ogden. Docket # 1011-R (Utah). The architect of record was E. Pierce and the contractor was Curtis Johnson. The structure was demolished in 2010.    
  • Woodland Grade School (demolished) Improvements - Woodland UT
    Originally built in 1913, the former Woodland Grade School in Woodland, Utah underwent alterations and improvement work as part of a Public Works Administration (PWA) project, Docket # 1023-R (Utah). The architect of record was Ashton and Evans. The facility is no longer extant.
  • Kamas High School (demolished) - Kamas UT
    The Public Works Administration funded an expansion of the Kamas High School in Kamas, Smith Summit School District. Docket # 1023-R (Utah). The architect of record was Ashton and Evans, and the contractor was Berntson and Kuhre. "The Gym & Mech Arts building cost $104,000 and was done in conjunction with the Woodland El and Kamas El school alterations and repair for a total cost of $120,000."
  • Bronte High School - Bronte TX
    The Works Progress Administration (W.P.A.) constructed the former high school building and attendant perimeter wall in 1938-9. A W.P.A. plaque remains on site. It is located in front of the new high school, on the remains of the step entrance to the old building.
  • Post Office (former) Mural (destroyed) - Guymon OK
    The historic former Guymon post office had housed a New Deal mural entitled "Harvest." The work was commissioned by the Treasury Section of Fine Arts and was completed by artist Jay Risling in 1939. However, the work was heavily damaged and is no longer on-site.
  • Old Hesper Hall (OPSU; demolished) Renovations - Goodwell OK
    The former, since-demolished Hesper Hall building at OPSU was improved with W.P.A. funds. "In 1935, the Oklahoma State Legislature allowed PAMC to purchase WPA bonds to defray the cost of renovating Hesper Hall to become the library and the museum and to build a new dormitory and to repair campus buildings." The building has long since been demolished.
  • Stenner Creek Bridge - San Luis Obispo CA
    The Works Progress Administration built the Stenner Creek Bridge in San Luis Obispo. The work included the following: "Demolish old bridge and construct timber truss bridge, over Stenner Creek on Foothill Boulevard, near the city of San Luis Obispo, in San Luis Obispo County. Not on Federal Aid Highway. County owned property." WPA Proj. No. A10-7-36, Oct. 19, 1936, Total sponsor and Federal funds $14,529, Months Spent 10, Average Employed 41. According to a NOAA Technical Memorandum, Stenner and San Luis Obispo creeks suffered destructive flooding on January 18, 1971, which likely damaged or destroyed the bridge.
