    The Civilian Conservation Corps (C.C.C.) developed the remarkable (former) bathhouse and pool facility at Tucumcari Metropolitan Park, a.k.a. Five Mile Park, in Tucumcari, New Mexico. The pool was advertised as the largest in the Southwest. NRHP nomination form: The bathhouse is a one-story building with a concrete foundation, brown stucco over adobe walls, and a flat asphalt roof.     A field house construction project in Kermit, Texas was undertaken in 1938-9 with Public Works Administration (P.W.A.) funds. The P.W.A. provided a $57,043 grant for the project, whose total cost was $127,845. According to 1946 maps of the community the school was located on the west side of S. Oak St. between W.     The former Mark Twain Memorial Bridge, spanning the Mississippi River between Hannibal, Missouri and Illinois, was constructed as a Public Works Administration (P.W.A.) project. The P.W.A. supplied a $357,000 loan and $169,507 grant for the project, whose total cost was $721,505. Construction occurred between Oct. 1934 and Jul. 1936.   • Camp War (P-63) - War WV
    Located on private land about 5 miles east of War and on the edge of Cucumber (town, likely a coal camp at one point) in McDowell County along WV Route 16. Occupied on 11 July 1935 with CCC Company 3538-C. The C at the end notes this was a colored CCC camp. McDowell county was a heavily black community noting several entries in the Negro Green Book for decades.
