    The federal Works Progress Administration (WPA) conducted improvement on the training ship USS Newton, stationed in Jersey City, NJ. The boat sank in the Hudson River in 1946, and "her hulk was later sold."   • Cape May Naval Air Station (former) Development - Cape May NJ
    The WPA conducted a large-scale reconstruction project at the Cape May Naval Air Station, located at the easternmost part of Cape May. A thorough history of the installation can be found at Abandoned & Little Known Airfields (airfields-freeman.com). There are few traces of the New Deal- and WWII-era installation remaining, though an abandoned runway is still visible. The facility is now the U.S. Coast Guard Training Center.   • Park and Pool (no longer extant) - Jefferson TX
    The "Jefferson Lions Club Swimming Pool located at the extreme west end of West Whelan Street, one block west of Highway 59 North, also known as North Walcott Street. The site today is occupied by the Jefferson Independent School District's Transportation Building and parking lot for its school bus fleet. It was constructed by the , sometime in the late 1930’s.   • Lookout Tower (demolished) - Cornwall CT
    The Civilian Conservation Corps (C.C.C.) constructed a "steel fire tower" at Mohawk State Forest. The structure, which Living New Deal believes it was located by the parking lot at Mohawk Tower (at the end of Toumey Road), is no longer extant. Satellite imagery suggests that the corner 'pillars' of the structure are all that remain.
  • Morey Pond Facilities (former) - Union CT
    The Civilian Conservation Corps (C.C.C.) "built a caretaker's cabin, bath houses and facilities for swimmers at Morey Pond" at Nipmuck State Forest. These days, Interstate 84 runs right through the middle of Morey Pond, and these facilities no longer exist.
