    Works Progress Administration (WPA) appears to have built a high school in Coleville, Mono County, California, in conjunction with the Antelope Union School District.  A WPA project card indicates that the project was approved at a cost of $3,780. The card says:   "Located on the grounds of Antelope Union School, owned by the Antelope Union School Dist. Construction of a 3-room frame school building with concrete foundations and basement. 122' long by 46' wide including heating, plumbing, etc. Sponsor: Antelope Union School District."   • Mendon School - Mendon UT
    The Public Works Administration funded the construction of the Mendon School in Mendon, Cache County, in 1935. The building had four classrooms, and it was part of a larger effort to modernize schools across the United States. The school was designed by the architecture firm K.C. Schaub of Logan, Utah. The contractor of record was Tolboe & Lichfield of Provo, Utah. The school was demolished on October 7, 1991.  
  • Nevada City Airport - Nevada City CA
    The Works Progress Administration (WPA) built the airport in Nevada City. In mid 1935, $10,547 from the WPA went into "Airport improvements." WPA Proj. No. 79703, $10,547, Oct. 18, 1935. According to Paul Freeman of the Abandoned Airfields website, "the 1948 USGS topo map depicted the 'Nevada City Airport' as having 2 runways, with 5 small buildings adjacent to the south side, and a 'Historic Monument' on the north side.   • Myton Grade School (demolished) - Myton UT
    The Public Works Administration (PWA) funded the construction of the Myton Grade School in Myton NV for the Duchesne County School District. The school was designed by the architecture firm Scott and Welch. The contractor of record was Tolboe & Tolboe. The New Deal school, which was constructed c. 1939, has been replaced in recent years by a new structure at the same site.

    The Public Works Administration (PWA) and the Works Progress Administration funded the construction of an addition to a school building in Roosevelt, Duchesne County, Utah. (The town is named after T.R. not FDR) The school addition was designed by the architecture firm Scott & Welch and the contractor of record was Tolboe & Tolboe.   • Bald Eagle Hill Children’s Health Camp (former) - Washington DC
    The Bald Eagle Hill Children’s Health Camp was built in 1936-1937 by the Works Progress Administration (WPA) for children suffering from tuberculosis. The camp’s address was 4900 Nichols Avenue SE, which is now Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue.  The camp was located at the southern end of the avenue, near its intersection with Joliet Street, which is the site of today’s Bald Eagle Recreation Center. This WPA-built camp replaced a smaller tuberculosis facility in Northwest DC and cost between $79,000 and $110,000 to construct.     The Works Progress Administration (WPA) renovated several buildings at the National Training School for Girls in Washington DC, located at Conduit (now MacArthur Blvd) and Little Falls Road, NW.  The National Training School was a reform school administered at the time by the DC Board of Public Welfare (and not to be confused with the Nannie Burroughs National Training School for Women and Girls).   • Wildcat Canyon National Guard Target Range (abandoned) - El Cerrito CA
    The WPA was involved in construction work in Wildcat Canyon. "State of California, National Guard - Construct new rifle range on Wildcat Canyon in Contra Costa County, near Berkeley, by excavating; clearing and grading site; surfacing roads; erecting pit timbers, target frames and rifle racks; constructing superintendent's house; reconstructing buildings; fencing; and performing appurtenant and incidental work.
