The historic former post office building in Odessa, Texas was constructed in 1939 with federal Treasury Department funds. The building continued to fulfill civic purposes: it is now occupied by the Ector County Health Department. An example of New Deal artwork created for the former post office lobby has since been relocated to the city's current post office building.

Situated on a grassy square, the Elida Town Hall was constructed in 1939 with WPA financing. The community applied for the project on September 12, 1938, requesting $3,820.49. It was built as a combination village office and fire station. The WPA financed similar consolidated town hall plans in communities throughout New Mexico, including Espanola, Melrose, Belen, Roy, Lovington, Socorro and Taos. The State Highway 19 Bridge at the Trinity River on the Walker/Trinity county line, consists of two 250-foot Parker through truss spans, one 150-foot Parker through truss span, and 51 steel I-beam approach spans with a special metal picket-type rail. The federal Work Projects Administration (WPA) constructed sidewalks along Elsie Ave. and Bancroft Ave. in San Leandro, California: "WPA 1939" is stamped into the sidewalk in several places along Elsie Avenue. "WPA 1940" is stamped along Bancroft Avenue. Elsie Avenue may have also been paved as a WPA project; the street appears unpaved on a 1938 city map.
