The historic Dobbs Ferry post office, built in 1936, was designed by Louis A. Simon in the Colonial Revival style. The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1988.

"The Public Works Administration, one of the New Deal programs, was a large-scale construction effort which built dams, bridges, hospitals and schools. The Duncan Senior High School was PWA Project No. 8458 and was constructed in 1936. Facing 9th Street, at Ash Avenue, this is a two-story light-colored brick building, which currently houses Duncan Edge Academy. The historic East Providence post office was constructed with federal Treasury Department funds in 1936. The building, which houses examples of New Deal artwork, is still in service.

"The Oklahoma County Courthouse was constructed in 1936-1937 as a Public Works Administration project at a cost of $1.5 million. Designed by the well-respected firm of Layton & Forsyth, it is an Art Deco construction of Indiana limestone, with touches of the "new" material available in that day - aluminum. The historic Flatbush Station post office on Church Ave. in Brooklyn, New York was constructed with federal Treasury Department funds and is still in use today. "It was built in 1936, and designed by consulting architect Lorimer Rich in the Colonial Revival style, for the Office of the Supervising Architect of the United States Department of the Treasury. The building is a symmetrical, two-story, red brick building with a gable roof and a large one-story rear wing." WPA bridge in rural Oklahoma. "This bridge represents hundreds of similar bridges throughout Oklahoma, spanning the many creeks that meander throughout the countryside. This bridge is 5 miles south of Garber in Garfield County. It is just north of County Road 450 (Southgate Road), one mile east of Highway 74. The road is unpaved. The Works Progress Administration (WPA) created Wyandotte County Lake by constructing the dam that impounds the lake. The surrounding park received numerous WPA-constructed buildings. Work lasted several years, from 1936 to 1942. Located in the Missouri basin, the dam was built to create jobs while at the same time providing a source of water for the community.
