    The historic former post office in Fairfield, Connecticut was constructed with federal Treasury Department funds and completed in 1936. The building was sold to private interests in 2012; the building has since been highly modified though the façade remains largely intact.

    "In 1906, a new post office was complete at 19 W. 1st Street; that building was razed in favor of the existing structure at the same location. Standing two stories high, this building is faced with stone along its 1st Street elevation, while its rear is sheathed with brick.     The historic Fort Pierce post office and federal building was constructed in 1935 with federal Treasury Department funds. Its construction is sometimes mis-attributed to the WPA. The building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. While it no longer houses the city's post office, the building continues to serve civic functions.

    Constructed by the Treasury in 1934. The building was expanded in 1957-62. The post office moved to a new facility in 1991, and this building is now the Monmouth County Veterans Memorial Building and home to the Monmouth County Sheriff's Office. The post office originally contained a New Deal mural by Gerald Foster. The mural now hangs in the Monmouth County Public Library.

    "This building was formerly the Gallup Post Office. It was constructed as part of the WPA project and still has the original carved beamed ceilings that are quite unique. This whole building is unique in that it exhibits a mix of several architectural styles, including Mediterranean, Decorative Brick Commercial and Spanish Pueblo Revival. This eclectic approach works very well, however, as the blond brick building is listed in the National Register as being significant architecturally as well as for its association with the civic history of Gallup.     "Built in 1935-1936 at a cost of $60,000, this was the seventh and first long-term post office in Graham. It was one of a number of Depression-era federally funded projects built in the city. An excellent example of a Moderne style post office of the 1930s, the structure contains an intact mural by regional painter Alexandre Hogue.     "The Greer Post Office, constructed in 1935, is architecturally significant as an excellent example of a New Deal-era Colonial Revival post office produced by the Public Works Branch of the U.S. Department of the Treasury.     According to the 1941 Hearne Democrat, the post office is located at 3rd and Magnolia Streets. The contract  was awarded to Leslie F. Crockett Construction Co. in January of 1941 for $50,877. The building was designed in Spanish Revival style. The structure is buff stucco with a corner entrance and a canopy covering the walk on both sides.
