The National Youth Administration (NYA) project at Maverick built a community center and garage constructed of stone. The school district furnished $1,000 worth of materials and the NYA supplied $4,000 for labor and supervision. Forty-five boys were employed in the project. Only a few buildings and ruins are left of the community and the status of the center is unknown. The Texas Almanac for Runnels County historic map locates Maverick next to the Oak Creek, and Google maps shows ruins of the old school and other buildings in addition to the few remaining houses.

The Works Progress Administration built the Fremont Armory in Fremont OH in 1936. Originally a National Guard Armory. Presently (January 2022) Armory Vintage Market.

The Works Progress Administration built Sijan Field in Milwaukee WI in 1937. Today, the facility serves as the Milwaukee Public Schools (MPS) Recreation Division Playfield. It is used for baseball and soccer.

A Works Progress Administration (WPA) allotment of $118,232 was approved in July 1939 for street improvements and additional sidewalks and gutter construction. A large sidewalk was constructed to access the Weatherford Municipal Power and Light plant, completed in 1940. The city had applied for PWA funding to construct the new electric plant, however, the plant was not approved due to lack of funds for a high number of projects submitted by Texas.
