The Public Works Administration (PWA) provided funding for the Student Union building on the University of Montana campus in 1934 and the building was completed in 1936.  It is now the Fine Arts Building and houses the George & Jane Dennison Theater. The WPA installed improvements off the Blackstone Boulevard as well, displayed by a plaque found in a manhole cover at the intersection of Mount Avenue and Slater Avenue, Providence. "One of my favorite places in Providence is Blackstone Boulevard, the tree-lined, two-mile stretch of road on the East Side that is a popular destination for joggers, walkers, readers and painters. At both ends of the boulevard, there are tiny plaques in the sidewalk that credit its construction to employees of the Works Progress Administration, the New Deal jobs program that funded everything from highways to playwrights."

The Works Progress Administration repaired and painted the Thomas Jefferson High School in Charleston. The school is located at the corner of Quarrier and Morris Streets. When a new Charleston High was built about three blocks away, the old one was renamed Thomas Jefferson Junior High School. Like many schools in the area, the Thomas Jefferson High might have operated initially as a high school and later became a junior high or middle school. The Lexington, Massachusetts branch post office was constructed with Treasury Department funds and opened for business in 1938. The building, which houses an example of New Deal artwork, is still in service. The 1937 cornerstone reads: "Henry Morgenthau Jr Secretary of the Treasury James A Farley Postmaster General Louis A Simon Supervising Architect Neal A Melick Supervising Engineer 1937"

The Winooski River Local Protection Project in Vermont, a Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) undertaking, entailed "replacing an old timber dam at Montpelier by a small concrete dam (now called Bailey Dam) with tainter gates." The project is located on the Winooski River west of Main Street.  It was built sometime between 1934 and 1938.

No. 686-08-_-174, November 19, 1938, $1,600, 2,516 man hours, Average employed 14, Total Federal and Sponsor funds $1,900 "Improve fire protection facilities on North Avenue and an alley between G and F streets in the city of Reedley, Fresno County, including removing old and laying new water mains and hydrant loads, installing shut-off-valves, and performing appurtenant and incidental work. No taxes or assessments will be levied to cover the amount of Federal funds expended on this project. In addition to projects specifically approved. City owned property."  

The Works Progress Administration built the National Guard Armory in Batesville in 1936. A 1998 National Register of Historic Places Registration Form describes the formal characteristics of the structure: "The 1936 National Guard Armory in Batesville was constructed in a vernacular Ozark stone style with Gothic Revival influences by local stonemasons hired by the federal government as well as National Guard unit members. The armory was a WPA project designed by Dutch architect Pieter Blaauw and is composed of Batesville sandstone obtained from the Maxfield Quarry on the outskirts of town. The Williamson Housing Authority built the Victoria Court Housing Project with aid from the Federal Housing Authority. The development consists of a complex of seven, two-story brick buildings laid in rows of three providing a central court (now a modern playground). The project still retains the clotheslines behind the apartment units, some of which were are still in use. Civilian Conservation Corp (CCC) Company 3340 worked out of camp F-38 at the mouth of Big Cottonwood Canyon, Salt Lake County Utah, from the summer of 1935 through 1942.  Camp F-38 was under the direction of the US Forest Service. The hundreds of CCC enrollees assigned to camp F-38 made many improvements to recreational facilities along the Wasatch Front east of Salt Lake City, including work in Big Cottonwood Canyon, Little Cottonwood Canyon and Mill Creek Canyon.
