Completion Year: 1941

The post office contains a Section of Fine Arts mural "An Incident in the King Philip War, 1670" was painted by Joe Lasker and installed in 1941 and was "revivified" in 1991.

The rock veneer school building was constructed using rock from the nearby Tishomingo County NYA quarry, and lumber from the NYA sawmill at Longview. A gymnasium (no longer extant) and a teacher's house were also constructed in Longview. The school is currently in use as a private home. The second entry of double doors was altered at some point to install double windows in its place. An addition has been added to the rear of the building.

This 1941 Section of Fine Arts relief by Arnold Geissbuhler depicts “Straw Cutting and Weaving.” It was originally installed in the town's 1938 post office, but has since been moved to the new post office on Wall St.

The Woodhaven Station post office in Jamaica, New York contains a 1941 Section of Fine Arts mural painted by Ben Shahn entitled “The First Amendment.”

"Memorial Park is located between Classen Blvd. and Western Avenue, just south of N.W. 36th Street. It was established in 1908 and is a beautiful, historic park. Winding through this area are numerous concrete walking paths, and every 10-15 ft. you will find etched in the concrete, the WPA shield with the inscription WPA 1941. The walkways are in surprisingly good condition after all these years. We have noticed many buildings in Oklahoma built by the WPA, but this was the first etched sidewalks we've come across. This mural painted by Charles Anton Kaeselau, titled "Battle at the Bridge," depicts one of the most famous battles of the revolutionary war. This mural is hung proudly at the Concord Post Office, another New Deal Project that was funded by the Treasury Department and completed in 1938. The post office contains a mural by Carl Nyquist, installed in 1941, "Picking Cotton." The mural is 13 feet 6 inches wide and 5 feet high. "The mural, a reflection of the long, flat cotton fields of the area, is an outstanding example of representational art, from the light brown earth color to the clothes the people are wearing...Perhaps the mural's relationship to history can best be found in the clothing of the individuals. The long cotton dresses were still worn by women in the fields during the early 1930s. This appears to be the time depicted in the mural....

The Washington Marina was originally called Yacht Basin No. 1 and was part of a multi-million dollar improvement program for the Washington Channel and Southwest Waterfront, funded by both the Army Corps of Engineers and the District Commission (DC government).  In 1938, President Franklin D. The oil-on-canvas mural "Automobile Industry" by William Gropper was funded by the Section of Fine Arts in 1941. It was originally installed in Detroit's Northwestern Branch post office, but has since been relocated to the Wayne State University Student Center.

The historic Anson post office houses an example of New Deal artwork: an oil-on-canvas mural entitled "Cowboy Dance," painted by Jenne Magafan in 1941. The work was commissioned by the Treasury Section of Fine Arts.
