The PWA helped construct the University of Idaho Men's Dormitory, now Archie Phinney Hall, in 1938.

"Pres. Franklin D. Roosevelt's New Deal programs helped the community... Additional aid came when the Works Progress Administration provided funds that ... supplied the labor for a new brick schoolhouse." Public Works Administration (P.W.A.) documents show that the school was constructed as a P.W.A. project, P.W.A. Docket No. WY 1028, with construction occurring in 1938. Located south of the Sublette County Courthouse, the building served as a school from 1937 to 1987. The building has since been demolished.

CCC and WPA crews constructed this football stadium for the South Dakota School of Mines & Technology in Rapid City. From the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology Quarterly: "With the help of Works Project Administration (WPA) laborers and a $50,000 WPA grant, development continued from 1932 through 1936.* The Alumni Association raised the remaining funds to finish the field by contacting the school's 750 alumni through meetings held in 26 alumni regions around the country. Harris High School for African Americans was completed in 1938 with PWA funding that also constructed the Meridian High School, gymnasium, and vocational buildings. Harris High School was smaller and less elaborate than Meridian High School, and contained no additional buildings. The site is now occupied by T.J. Harris Upper Elementary School, and while some 1950s buildings remain, all of the PWA buildings have been demolished.

This former Department of Forestry building was purchased by a private owner to preserve and live in after it was vacated by the DoF in 2011. The historic post office in Fairfield, Maine was constructed with federal Treassury Department funds between 1937 and 1938. The building, which houses an example of New Deal artwork, is still in service.
