Coudersport, Pennsylvania received a new school building during the 1930s with the aid of federal Public Works Administration (PWA) funds. Construction occurred between May 1936 and January 1937. The school is no longer in use and is now known as the Gunzburger County Office Building. PWA Docket No. W1108

Pembina, North Dakota received a new City Hall building in 1936. Its construction was enabled by a federal Public Works Administration (PWA) grant. The exact location and status of this building are presently unknown to Living New Deal. PWA Docket No. ND 1072.

The historic Renville County Courthouse in Mohall, North Dakota was built starting in April 1936 and dedicated on June 25, 1937. Its construction was enabled by a $51,650 grant provided by the federal Public Works Administration (PWA). The Moderne building, which was also built as a jail, is still in service. Construction is sometimes mis-attributed to the Works Progress Administration (WPA). The building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. PWA Docket No. ND 1027.

Downtown Grand Forks, North Dakota's historic Central High School building received an auditorium constructed with the assistance of the federal Works Progress Administration (WPA) during the 1930s. The building has since been expanded with further additions. Federal Writers' Project: "CENTRAL HIGH SCHOOL, 1st and 2nd Aves. N. between 4th and 5th Sts., has an auditorium unit constructed entirely without windows. It was the first public building in North Dakota to utilize indirect lighting throughout. It was erected in 1936-37 with WPA assistance at a cost of $275,000, and includes a pipe organ, the gift of the Grand Forks Music Association."

The Atlanta Miller Grade School was a Works Progress Administration project taking 120 days to complete. Hardy Brothers of Texarkana began construction of the one-story, six-room building in 1936. Text from the state historical marker at the site reads: Atlanta-Miller Grade School. Public education in Atlanta dates to 1874. Prior to the civil rights era of the mid-20th century, separate schools served Anglo and African American students. The school at this site, known initially as Atlanta Grade School, was built for white students in 1936 with federal funding through the Works Progress Administration. "The construction of Sharon Woods Golf Course began in 1936. WPA crews did most of the groundwork on the project. Tons of topsoil were dredged from the east side of the lake for constructing greens. The course opened in 1938 when legendary amateur golfer Bobby Jones hit the first golf ball on May 27... Mr. William H. Diddel was the golf course architect of Sharon Woods Golf Course. "Hiwassee Dam is a hydroelectric dam on the Hiwassee River in Cherokee County, in the U.S. state of North Carolina.
