Description
Yorktown, New York’s town hall was built during the Great Depression with the aid of federal Public Works Administration (PWA) funds. The PWA supplied a $20,000 loan and $7,200 grant; the total cost of the project was $26,620. Work occurred between August 1935 and March 1936.
The building is still in use today, though the original structure has had wings added to either side.
