The Public Works Administration funded the construction of the Rollinsford Grade School. The structure was built in 1936, and consists of a large T-shaped two story gabled roof building in the Colonial Revival style.
The town-wide school was grades 1-8. At present it is grades K-6.
National Register of Historic Places Nomination Form: https://www.nps.gov/nr/feature/places/pdfs/15000670.pdf. Part of its significance under Criterion A for its associations with politics and government as a PWA funded building (see Section 8, Page 13 and Pages 19-20).
