Description

Many of the structures in Emporia’s Peter Pan Park–including benches, trellises, walls, and a monkey island (!)–were constructed with funds and labor provided by the Works Progress Administration (WPA).

If you google "Kansas Rural Photo Contest" and look through the 2015 winners, one of them is of Peter Pan Park. Then if you look at the comments, you will find a Kathy Wiseman wrote that her ancestor was one of the builders through the WPA.
