Description
The Works Progress Administration (WPA) improved a segment of M Street SE, from Fairlawn Avenue to Anacostia Road.
The WPA graded this road, and also prepared it for pavement by putting in a foundation of recycled road material (e.g., concrete, rock, macadam).
