Description
“General Lee and Young Soldier” is a sculpture by Alexander Phimister Proctor that stands in Lee Park in Dallas, Texas. The Dallas Southern Memorial Association gave the statue to the City of Dallas in 1936. The Dallas Park Board provided a location for the statue and the Works Progress Administration built the base the statue stands on. A plaque on the base denotes it as W.P.A. Project No. 4051.
The statue was removed in September 2017.
