A picture of the Gillespie, Illinois Post Office is available on the web.
My family lived in Gillespie for many years in the early 20th century and we continue to have relative in Gillespie. All relative came from the Tirol area of Italy–Trentino Alto Aldige–to work in the many coal mines in the Gillespie, Benld, Eagerville, Carlinville areas in Macoupin County.
I’ve tried repeated to download the picture (from the web) of the post office to complement the mural picture but I’ve been unsuccessful.
Hopefully you can do that.
