Description
This stately New Deal facility was erected in 1937 as the Hollidays Cove post office. The post office building was dedicated on Jan. 22, 1938. In 1947 Hollidays Cove, Marland Heights and Weirton Heights incorporated into one city and took the name Weirton, and this became the Cove Station of Weirton.
(This is not to be confused with another New Deal post office constructed in Weirton, which is no longer in use.)
