- Emporia State University Improvements - Emporia KSThe Civil Works Administration (CWA) conducted improvement work at the Kansas State Teachers College (now Emporia State University) in Emporia, Kansas. "NORMAL IMPROVEMENT Emporia, Jan. 15. A CWA project involving the expenditure of $3,000, most of which will be for labor has started at the Teachers college. The program provides for finishing rooms in the basement of Union building and redecorating others."
- Peter Pan Park Structures - Emporia KSMany of the structures in Emporia's Peter Pan Park--including benches, trellises, walls, and a monkey island (!)--were constructed with funds and labor provided by the Works Progress Administration (WPA).
- Storm Sewers - Emporia KSThe Work Projects Administration (WPA) constructed a "12-inch storm sewer in the alley west of Rural street and between Ninth and Eleventh avenues." The work on the 1,030-foot storm sewer and attendant manholes employed 30 men from Nov. 1941 to Jan. 1942.
- William L. White Auditorium - Emporia KSThe Public Works Administration (PWA) funded the construction of the Civic Auditorium, now known as William L. White Auditorium, in Emporia KS. The structure's current usage is mostly as a basketball arena, but it also houses graduations, shows, concerts, etc.
