My wife’s great uncle was an artist under the WPA/FAP. Edward Riegel worked on two large murals and did around 100 portraits of famous people in history. Check him out on Edward J. The New Deal for Art book by Marlene Park & Gerald Markowitz has a lot of WPA art in the eight counties of Western New York state. I have photographed over 150 pictures of art in the western NY area and sent copies to the GSA fine art Department in Washington, D.C. This project is on-going for three years.
