Dean Engineering and Construction of Reedsburg, Wisconsin was the general contractor, with construction beginning in Oct./Nov. 1937. Dedication of the facility occurred on Aug. 26, 1938 (though residual construction work relating to the building's basement occurred in late 1939). Per the Argus-Leader of Sioux Falls: All letters going through the Mobridge postoffice that day will be stamped with a special cachet, reading 'The Only Mobridge in the World.' New Postoffice Dedication....
