Description

The historic former post office in Dayton, Tennessee houses an example of New Deal artwork: Bertram Hartman’s oil-on-canvas mural, entitled “View from Johnson’s Bluff.” Completed in 1939, the work was commissioned by the Treasury Section of Fine Arts. It is still housed in the old post office, now the Dayton Electric & Water Building.
