Description
Numerous municipal improvement projects were undertaken in Lenoir, North Carolina as part of federal Public Works Administration (PWA) projects during the 1930s. A waterworks construction project was undertaken in the city with work occurring between October 1934 and February 1935. The PWA supplied a $37,000 loan and $15,212 grant toward the $52,029 total cost of the project.
