Description
The WPA added four classrooms to an older school building, and they remain in use today. Stonework retaining walls, drinking fountains and an entrance were also built, possibly by CCC workers from the nearby Springville CCC camp.
Springville Elementary School was originally a K-8 school.

I went to this school in the 60’s. Two grades per classroom were taught by one teacher. No kindergarten in 1966…. no cafeteria. No fences..you brought a sack lunch if u had one (or shared with those who did) and ate on the lawn.
I started the first grade in 1946 and graduated from Springville in 1954. I have been trying to find class pictures of Mrs. Virginia in 1948 or 49 not sure when I had her as a teacher. Was wondering where I could go to find pictures.
