Rattan Public School – Rattan OK

Description

“Many school districts believe WPA buildings are still valuable. In Rattan, an old building built by WPA workers was refurbished in 2000 for additional classrooms for the growing school system.

The Rattan WPA building is a native stone building. Some of the stone buildings were made of cut stone blocks. Other stones were laid by WPA stonemasons, with varying sizes and colors in the Rattan building are so large one has to wonder how the blocks were hoisted to the positions they are in.”
