It is home to four New Deal murals by Simka Simkhovitch—”Criss Wright,” “Goose Decoys,” “Mail to Cape Lookout,” and “Sand Ponies”—all painted in 1940 for the Treasury Section of Fine Arts.

    Good Day, I am an Interpretive Ranger at Cape Lookout National Seashore stationed in the Beaufort Visitor Information Center. I present programs on the building and the New Deal Murals by Simka Simkhovotch. Programs are presented on Sundays at 2pm from mid-June until mid-December.
