Description
The WPA began construction on a “new elevated water storage tank” for the town of Taylor, Texas in early 1936.
Replaced in 2009 and dismantled soon after, the old water tower resided just south and west from its replacement on the north side of West 12th Street in Murphy Park. 2009 satellite imagery accessible through Google Earth shows both locations.
