Description
The Works Progress Administration (WPA) undertook several projects in Little Cottonwood Canyon, southeast of Salt Lake City. These works included a stone bridge, improvements at the fledgling Alta ski area and improvements to the road up the canyon. Exactly what part of the road was done by the WPA teams is unknown.
There is a plaque at the Little Cottonwood Creek bridge that states the road project took place from 1935 to 1937.
