Description
Florida’s Lake Powell Bridge—also known as the Philips Inlet Bridge—was constructed with the assistance of federal Public Works Administration (PWA) funds. The PWA supplied a $148,087 loan for the project, whose total cost was $141,409. It was constructed a toll bridge. Construction occurred between 1934 and 1935. The project helped to spur development between Panama City and Pensacola.
