Description
The January 16, 1936 issue of the Woodland Daily Democrat "reported that WPA-funded landscaping was transforming the 'old city dump at the east end of Court Street' into a 'new park for the City' and that 'much interest is being shown in the proposed target range which will occupy part of the park'."
Though the park no longer appears to contain a target range, if it ever did, there is still a very nice park with a pagoda, a playground, a band stand and several other amenities at this location.
