Description
Works Progress Administration (W.P.A.) workers worked at Breeds Pond in Lynn, Mass. WPA Bulletin:
Bacterial dangers are eliminated by the WPA construction of several thousand yards of large-stone, rip-rap work, along the vertical banks of Breed’s Pond, one of Lynn’s main water storage units. This wall prevents road embankment dirt and clay-bearing silt from being washed into the pond.
