Description
The elementary school in Basalt, Colorado was originally built as the town’s high school in 1937-38.
The school was paid for, in part, with a $20,970 federal Public Works Administration (PWA) grant, which covered nearly half of the $46,504 total project cost.
Alterations to the building were undertaken in 2000, and the original structure is now a part of a larger elementary school complex.
