• Borough Hall (Old Post Office) - North East PA
    What is now North East, Pennsylvania's Borough Hall was originally built as the community's post office during the mid-1930s. The building bears a 1935 cornerstone, and construction was funded by the Treasury Department. An example of New Deal artwork created for the facility has since been relocated.
  • Post Office Relief - North East PA
    "The Town Crier" is a cast stone relief that was created for, and installed in, the now-former North East post office (now North East Borough Hall) in October 1936. It was created by New York sculptor Leo Lentelli and funded by the Section of Fine Arts program. The relief now hangs in the current North East post office lobby, where the wall was specially reinforced for the work's installation.
