The former Pittsburg post office, a Spanish Revival building, was constructed in 1935 by the US Treasury Department's Division of Procurement. It has been sold to private owners (as have all too many post offices) and the building is now occupied by Property Upsurge, a property management company.

The historic post office in downtown Plant City, Florida was constructed in 1935 with federal Treasury Department funds.  Originally the city's main post office, it became the post office's Downtown Station. Service was suspended in 2013 and formally discontinued at the location in 2015. The city purchased the building, though as of 2024 the building appeared to be serving no discernible public purpose. The city tentatively approved a plan in 2024 that would have the building demolished and the property redeveloped into a substantial number of housing units.

This colorful post office was built in 1934 by the Treasury Department. It is a one-story hollow tile construction with a basement. It has modified Mission-style arches, relief ornamentation and entablature with finials over front entrance, double-leaf front doors, transom covered by row of turned spindles, two gabled skylights. The contractor was Robert E. McKee of El Paso. The building is still standing but was discontinued as post office in mid-1970s. As of Summer 2012, the building is vacant and up for sale.

Placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986, the building was constructed in 1934 or 1935. It has since been sold.
