    The Orange Post Office in downtown Orange, California was constructed with federal Treasury Department funding and was completed in 1935. It served as the main post office until 1971 and then was renamed the Plaza Station Post Office when a new post office was built to serve as the central post office for the City of Orange.

    The historic New Deal post office in Santa Paula, California was constructed with Treasury Department funds. It was built to the same specifications as the post office in Huntington Beach, which was built the same year. Construction of the building is sometimes mis-attributed to the WPA.

    The U.S. Treasury Department built the Santa Clara post office in 1935.  The building style is Mission Revival, which was popular for houses and civic buildings during the interwar period. It is also the site of Michael von Meyer's 1937 wood carving, "Early Pioneers," available for view in the library.
