Formerly the gym for Arroyo Grande Union High School. Completed for $24,400 in 1937 with a Public Works Administration grant of $14,255. The gym is still in use by the middle school that stands on the old high school site today. Students gathered here on December 8, 1941, to listen a radio set up on the stage, as FDR asked for a declaration of war on Japan. In 1935, the City of Zeeland, Michigan began its transition to a municipal power system, after purchasing power through a franchise with Consumers Power Company since 1902.  In 1936, Zeeland built a light and power distribution system for $36,000, and then added a diesel-powered electric power plant on East Washington Avenue for $85,000 to complete the system.  A combination of revenue bonds and assistance from the Public Works Administration financed the project.  The plant was dedicated on November 9, 1937. John Palo-Kangas created a 14-foot concrete sculpture of Father Junipero Serra in 1937 for the Federal Art Project of the Works Progress Administration (WPA). The sculpture stood for more than 50 years until it was replaced in 1989. Wilbur Robottom created a 3,000-pound bronze copy to take the place of the decaying concrete original. Originally located in a place of prominence in park triangle in front of Ventura's city hall, the statue was removed in July 2020 and placed by the Mission Basilica San Buenaventura in downtown Ventura in February 2024. With funding from the New Deal's Federal Art Project, C. S. Price painted a 21 x 4 foot mural for the newly constructed Pendleton Junior High School in 1937. Titled "Agriculture," the five panel composition draws upon images of farming and ranching life that characterized many of his paintings. The theme also suited Pendleton's cultural and economic base. The CCC-built Pinnacle Knob Fire Tower was originally a lookout tower for forest fires. Decommissioned in 1976, the tower was restored in 2008 and listed on the National Historic Lookout Register.

The Town of Leavenworth is a historic Southern Indiana river town, known for manufacturing boats and buttons. Nearly all of the homes in the town of Leavenworth, Indiana were destroyed by the Ohio River flood of 1937. Only a few brick buildings from the original town, including the former Leavenworth State Bank building and the former IOOF hall (at right in the newspaper picture of flood damage), remain in 2023. The Works Progress Administration, with assistance from other organizations such as the American Red Cross, built a new town on the bluff overlooking the original site.

The Works Progress Administration built a shelter in Rice Island park in Corydon IN. This event center was created on former school athletic fields.

The Public Works Administration funded the construction of the Oildale Standard School Auditorium in Bakersfield CA. The structure has been in use as a school auditorium since completed in 1937.

The Hoisington High School Stadium was built by the Works Progress Administration in 1937 with limestone from the nearby Ney farm. The stadium is still in use and on the National Register of Historic Places.

The Ashland Elementary School in Ashland KS is an elementary school built in 1937 with Public Works Administration funding. This is a two story red brick building with a flat roof and parapet. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and it is still in use.
