This map shows New Deal public works and artworks documented by the Living New Deal. Every site is marked by a dot and every dot has an icon showing the function (category) of that site. Zoom in to see the icons and view sites (using +/- buttons in upper right corner).
To find out what is at a site, click on a dot showing an icon and a summary will appear on the left-hand panel. For more information and photographs, click on Full Site Info. Reset button closes the summary. Dots you click on will turn gray until you reset the national map.
To find New Deal sites near you, tap the Locate Me button at the top right and the map will zoom in to your location (it will ask your permission). Go back to the whole country by clicking Reset Map at the top right.
You can use Search to find specific locations and New Deal Sites by name. Or you can use Highlight to show only sites falling under a specific category or agency (e.g., artworks, CCC camps). The lists of categories and agencies accordion out to finer levels. To start over, click the red Reset button.
