    The Works Progress Administration (WPA) provided funds to construct a new school building in Old Glory after the older school burned. Demolition of the burned school was included in the project. Salvaged bricks from the old structure were used, as well as new materials. The school district provided $25,784.75 and WPA provided $5,960. Project supervisor was W. R. Scott and employed 55 men for five months to construct the new building and adjacent grounds beautification.
