    The Coxburg community gymnasium was constructed 1936 by the National Youth Administration. The structure cost approximately $5,000 and was 80 x 100 feet. The gym was destroyed in 1952.
  • Holmes County Jail - Lexington MS
    The Art Moderne jail was constructed in 1936 as Public Works Administration (PWA) project #1019 (Baughn). The estimated cost was $24,528, $10,000 of which was funded by the PWA (New correctional facility). The building no longer serves as the county jail after a new facility was erected in 1999-2000.
  • Post Office - Lexington MS
    The historic post office building in Lexington, Mississippi was constructed with federal Treasury Department funds during the Great Depression. The one-story, flat-roofed building remains in use as the post office today.
