• CCC Camp Britton - Windsor CT
    The Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC)'s Company #1193, Camp Britton, was based at the Agricultural Experiment Station in Windsor, Connecticut. It operated from Sept. 12, 1935 to May 26, 1937. Work included planting trees, insect eradication, forest improvements, road building, and clean-up work after the flood of 1936.
  • Post Office (former) - Windsor CT
    This former post office was constructed by the Treasury Department in 1940. It now houses the Raymond B McHugh VFW Post 4470.
  • Post Office Reliefs - Windsor CT
    Section of Fine Arts "wooden reliefs entitled "Stringing", "Transplanting" and "Harvesting" originally installed in 1943 by Nena de Brennecke. Were moved to the "new" post office in 1963." (flickr)
