    The Civil Works Administration (CWA) completed a school auditorium project in New Haven, Connecticut. The auditorium had a seating capacity of 400 and could be used as a classroom or gymnasium. Historic maps suggest that the school was located at the southeast corner of U.S. 224 and North Street, and that the facility is no longer extant.
  • Swimming Pool (replaced) - Tipton IN
    The original municipal swimming pool at the city park in Tipton, Indiana was constructed by the Works Progress Administration (WPA). The facility has since been replaced.
  • Municipal Pool (demolished) - Lafayette IN
    The Works Progress Administration (WPA) constructed a municipal pool at Columbian park in Lafayette, Indiana. "The pool was built in the 1930s by the Works Progress Administration and was the place to swim for kids in Lafayette, West Lafayette, Delphi, and other surrounding communities in the 1950s and ‘60s." The pool has since been demolished and replaced.
  • Lincoln School Athletic Field (former) Improvements - Plymouth IN
    The Works Progress Administration (WPA) conducted improvement work at what was then Lincoln High School in Plymouth, Indiana. The educational facility, fronting N Liberty Street, appears to have no athletic fields—just parking lots.
  • Municipal Pool (former) - Washington IN
    The Works Progress Administration (WPA) constructed a municipal pool in Washington, Indiana. Completed in 1936, the pool was demolished and replaced in 2009. As many as 1,600 people used the pool on a single day soon after its opening. The Tipton Daily Tribune: The pool is of concrete construction, 75 by 160 in size, with an additional pool, 20 by 30 for wading. A sand pile is situated next to the wading pool.   • Wading Pool (no longer extant) - Scottsbluff NE
    In 1936 the Works Progress Administration (WPA) constructed a wading pool in the "city park" in Scottsbluff. Living New Deal believes this to mean what is now known as Pioneer Park as the project is mentioned in conjunction with a museum that was another Pioneer Park project. The pool appears to no longer be extant.
  • Reservoir Park Staircase (no longer extant) - Harrisburg PA
    The Works Progress Administration (WPA) constructed a rustic staircase from Market St. and S. 23rd St. up into Reservoir Park. The surrounding slope was strengthened with stone and planted to protect against erosion. The staircase appears to be no longer extant.
  • Bandshell (demolished) - Scottsbluff NE
    The Work Progress Administration (WPA) constructed a bandshell at Central Park—also known as Centennial Park—in Scottsbluff, Nebraska. It was dedicated in June 1936. There is no bandshell in the park today.
  • Centennial Park Bandstand (demolished) - Nashville TN
    The Works Progress Administration (WPA) constructed a bandshell ca. 1939 at Centennial Park in Nashville, Tennessee, "to the right of the present structure." That structure, which Living New Deal believes served between 1937 and 1963, has since been demolished and replaced.
  • Golf Course (no longer extant) - Crawford NE
    The Works Progress Administration (WPA) constructed a golf course in Crawford, Nebraska in 1936. Living New Deal believes the golf course to be no longer extant, located at a bend in Dodd road to the northwest of the city and the current city park.
