The National Youth Administration built the Blanco High School in 1940. Austin American Statesman Newspaper, December 19, 1940: "Blanco lays cornerstone for new building, built by National Youth Administration workers. The new high school started a year ago, is built of native white limestone. It contains eight class rooms and a large auditorium, the latter section being the only part not yet completed. More than 100 Blanco County boys have received work experience on the building. Jesse Kellam, state NYA head, was the speaker at cornerstone laying ceremonies Wednesday afternoon."

The Work Projects Administration constructed a new school for Prairie Hill, Texas and improved the grounds after their school burned in 1939. Work started in 1940 and was completed in 1941. The school was consolidated with the Coolidge School district fall of 1962. A map from 1957 suggests that the facility was located on the north side of Farm-to-Market Road 73, east of its intersection with U.S. 84, and that the facility is no longer extant.

The Itta Bena Grammar School is a one-story brick, five course common bond building in a standard T-shape constructed 1940 by the National Youth Administration, designed by architect Robert James Moor. It remains in use as of 2018. Itta Bena citizens met in May 1939 to discuss the proposed new elementary school building, and by September, the old building was facing demolition. The National Youth Administration covered the cost of labor for the school building. The National Youth Administration built culverts on S. 1st St. in Merkel, Taylor County. A site marker reads, "Constructed by National Youth Administration 1940."

The Works Progress Administration conducted work on women's dormitories at the University of Wyoming in Laramie. The structure was designed in Collegiate Gothic style by Wilbur Hitchcock. Today the building serves as Knight Hall and houses Student Services.

The Avenue E School was built in the 1900s and the Works Progress Administration remodeled/built additions to it. There is a place on the building where a marker has been removed. A marker on the next door Gymnasium rock building reads: Copperas Cover Independent School District J.C. Culwell, Supt Trustees Louis Behrens, Pres. M.I. Walker, Sec'y R.C. Adams Leo M. Frase H.J. Leonhard M.Y. Stacy O.E. Urbantke W.P.A. Project No. 15511 1940

The Works Progress Administration provided labor for the construction of Curtis Field between 1940 and 1941 under project number 165-1-66-325. The City of Brady and McCulloch County provided equipment for leveling and grading. In 1942, the facility was taken over by the United States Army Air Forces and was used during World War II as a pilot training airfield. The City of Brady currently owns the airport and operates it as a general aviation facility.

As of 2018 more than 20 structures along this stretch of road bear a shield-shaped WPA imprint stamp. What is known in an ODOT historic survey as structure 'P' bears a 1940 WPA stamp on its east superstructure. (The stamp is on the east side of the road, facing west.) The culvert is located on Route 325, east of Kenton, a driving distance of 10.6 miles.
