Description
Navajo Lake in Kane County, UT is a natural lake formed by a prehistoric lava flow. The Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) added a dike to raise the lake level and extend the recreational boating, swimming and fishing season.
This is one of several projects undertaken by the CCC in Dixie National Forest during the 1930s, under the supervision of the US Forest Service.

We were just up at Navajo Lake late Aug 2022. It is our first time back in about 9 or 10 yrs as we moved East for that time period. I was shocked to see one side of the lake drained! What happened?
