My father used to point out a 2-mile section of the Victory Highway, just north of where it intersects with Rt 117, that he said he helped to build as a WPA project. I know that the Victory Highway was begun in 1923, but possibly there were sections being constructed during the depression? I have tried researching this, but I only get the Wikipedia article in the highway, which is no help.
