Description

A one-runway private airport north of downtown Berlin, New Hampshire.

The airport was started as a CWA project. There was a slight delay during the shutdown of the program. The project was picked up and completed under FERA.

    I remember my Dad and Mom talking about the first new Milan airport, approx. 1940.
    One pilot by the name of “Johnny West” gave flying lessons to my Dad and then they became pretty good friends.
    Also remember one small air show ( 1941-1942 ) that took place in a field directly across from the Nanson Ski jump. Remember seeing Johnny West at that time.
    Would enjoy hearing from anyone that recalls the above locations and events
