Description

These municipal waterworks were completed in 1936 at a total cost of $43,495. The federal New Deal Public Works Administration provided a $19,280 grant as well as a 20,000 loan to support the project.

Location notes: The waterworks including a water tower is immediately behind the Pilot Grove City Hall. Pictured are the pipes and pumping system servicing the system and which are original. Wells were dug at the time of construction. The water tower is the only part of the system that is easily visible.
