Description
A waterworks construction project in Spruce Pine, North Carolina was enabled by federal Public Works Administration (PWA) funds during the Great Depression. The PWA provided an $11,000 loan and $4,051 outright grant to the community for the project, whose total cost was $14,746. Construction occurred between June and July 1935.
